The hospital is located on eleven beautifully wooded acres in the northwest aspect of the Ocala area, a major hub of Marion County horse farms. The facility consists of an integrated office, laboratory, a nine stall barn, scintigraphy facility, surgical suite, and induction/recovery stalls. Besides elective surgeries and nuclear medicine, the hospital offers laser surgeries, gastroendoscopy, shockwave therapy, digital ultrasound and digital radiography. Office and hospital staff include two board certified surgeons, surgical and anesthesia technicians, a laboratory technician, and related office and barn personnel. The hospital is in the process of building an addition including a larger lab, pharmacy, individual veterinarian offices, and a library/conference room.
The practice also provides ambulatory service with seven to eight veterinarians available for farm calls. Each mobile unit is equipped with radiographic, endoscopic, and ultrasound units, as well as onboard computers for reviewing patient history, and performing accurate billing. Ambulatory units can also provide such services as digital radiography, digital ultrasound, shockwave, gastroendoscopy, cryotherapy, and electrocautery units.
